Zoo Labs, a new NFT-based P2E (Play-to-Earn) game that utilizes the $ZOO token in its ecosystem, is launching in Q1 of 2022 with the mission to aid in wildlife conservation efforts through a DeFi project that welcomes newcomers into the crypto space. Every time a user hatches an egg, feeds an NFT animal, or breeds their NFT animals to create a new egg, 10% of the proceeds from those interactions will be donated to Zoo Labs’ wildlife conservation partners, including the Defenders of Wildlife, World Wildlife Foundation, International Rhino Foundation, Panthera, Wildlife Conservation Fund, Zoological Society of London, International Union for Conservation of Nature, and more!

A love and affinity for animals is commonly shared among all ages and demographics across the globe, and Zoo Labs intends to tap into the entirely of that global market by creating a mobile app, (releasing on both the iOS and Android App Stores) that seeks to engage and delight users of all proficiency levels and ages through the use of Augmented Reality, actually BRINGING some of the world’s most critically endangered species directly into the user’s home. Much in the way apps like Pokemon Go have captivated and attracted multitudes of new users into the gaming space, Zoo Labs seeks to build upon that success in the DeFi and NFT Gaming industry.

Zoo Labs intends to set the bar for the utility and artistic quality of NFTs with NFTs that have been painstakingly rendered in full 3D to look and move like the critically endangered species they are based on. Zoo Labs’ NFT animals feature technology and attention to detail unlike any other existing project in the DeFi space, including the ability to “grow”, hatching as baby animals and progressing through in-game interactions, leveling up to adolescent and eventually adult.

Users obtain an NFT egg from the Zoo Labs Marketplace on zoolabs.io and then, using the Zoo Labs dApp, hatch their egg revealing the animal inside. These animals range in rarity based upon their actual, real-world status on the critically endangered list, with the rarest of all hatching out of only 90 of the initial 1800 Genesis NFT Eggs.

Zoo Labs is also creating a liquidity protocol that allows each NFT animal to yield $ZOO tokens daily. A baby Sumatran Elephant, for example, yields 300/900/3600 $ZOO daily depending upon whether it is a baby, adolescent, or adult. Users will also be able to feed their NFT Animals specific other cryptocurrencies, besides $ZOO, to increase its value and yield. Further details on this functionality to be released at a later date.

The Zoo Labs marketplace, launching in Q1 2022, will allow users to buy, list, and bid on NFT Animals or NFT Eggs. Yield/Collateral Value that an NFT has accrued is transferrable to new owners if it is sold on the marketplace, and are only harvested when the animal is freed and the NFT is burned, constantly increasing the value of the remaining NFTs as they become more scarce.

The project features strong educational foundations and seeks to educate the populace about the critically endangered status of beautiful animals such as the aforementioned Sumatran Elephant, Amur Leopard, Nubian Giraffe, Siberian Tiger, and others yet to be revealed.

After the initial release, Zoo Labs will also release the Zoo Bridge, allowing users to play ZOO on ANY chain. This creates vastly increased utility within the project, attracts a variety of users outside of the NFT Gaming and Conservation spaces, and creates a secure platform to exchange $ZOO tokens for other assets.
